Notice of Acclamation for ALL Council
October 22, 2022: By the October 21, 2022 Nomination Deadline, the outcome of the General Election call for the Rural Municipality of Belfast resulted in one Nomination for the Mayor position and seven Nominations for the six Councillor positions. This result would have resulted in an Election Call for Councillors. However, at 11:20AM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 the Municipal Election Officer received an Official ‘Withdrawal of Candidate Form’ from one of the seven Councillor Nominees. Consequently, ALL RMB Council positions are now to be ACCLAIMED.

Members of the New Council will be sworn in on December 7, 2022 at the Upstairs Meeting Hall of the Wood Islands Market to start their Four-Year Council Term.
