2019 Rural Municipality Election for Monday, June 10, 2019:
May 1, 2019 – A By-Election has been called as a result of the resignation of Mayor Jill Walsh. At a Special Council Meeting held on May 1, 2019, a By-Election Calendar was approved for the Rural Municipality of Belfast to fill the vacancy of Mayor. The By-Election Calendar is as follows:
- Notice of Nominations – Friday, May 10, 2019
- Day in which current Councillors must resign if intending to run for Mayor in By-Election – Friday, May 10, 2019
- 1st Day Office can be open – Tuesday, May 14, 2019
- Nominations Open – Wednesday, May 15, 2019
- Nominations Close – Friday, May 24, 2019 2:00 pm
- Immediate electronic public notice of extension (if required)
- Immediate electronic notice of Acclamation (if required)
- By-Election (if required) Advance Poll
- Saturday, June 8, 2019
