In an attempt to prevent the provincial government from making decisions on the community’s behalf, Belfast council has started work to identify municipal expansion plans.
At the PEI Federation of Municipalities’ October meeting, Minister Rob Lantz said he believes full municipal incorporation is needed on PEI and implied he may impose the changes in the future.
“I’m not going to impose change, not yet,” the minister said.
