March 17, 2022: At last night’s Rural Municipality of Belfast (RMB) Council Meeting; Council Members heard from a number of public representatives, speaking in favour and speaking against the implementation of the proposed Mosquito Abatement Program in 2022.
After presentations, discussions and debates involving all parties, Council ultimately decided to delay a decision on the proposed Mosquito Abatement Program, until a more fulsome public information/discussion session could be had, that allowed for more public to attend and be heard.
A time period and venue for this event is yet to be determined; however, RMB will use a number of sources to let people know when and where this event will take place.
Council would like to thank all those who did provide comment on the issue and are looking forward to hearing from folks when this issue is raised in the future.
